Portrait of a Girl, 2016

38x46cm

Oil on canvas

Painting represents the idea that the art of our age does not necessarily have to carry an artificially added concept to fit the existing view that "art must have a meaning." A work of art may also be sufficient when performing its most basic function - to be a pure aesthetic pleasure without any subtexts. The artist should also not impose his interpretation as the only truth, but should allow the audience to give in to their personal experience and subjective feelings.
