That, What I don't Own / 1, 2017

Charred plywood

The installation consists of four charred plywood objects, a stack made of plywood pieces and a photograph. The main inspiration behind the installation "That, what I don't own" is a personal experience of cyclical following of almost identical desires, modelling the possible future outcomes, then refusing them and returning to the starting point. The two main themes author wanted to talk about in this work are illusion and perception, this is achieved using visual perspective and materiality of charred wood.

Installation was presented in Visual communication student graduation show Voyage of Delight in Riga, Latvia.
