Alina Orav Emerging artist

Alina Orav (born 1989) is an Estonian painter and sculptor. Having studied painting and drawing in the Art School 5+5 from 1995 to 2009, she  continued her educational road at  the Estonian Academy of Arts. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in painting from the academy  in 2013 and currently studies in the Master´s programme. She has also acquired additional experience and skills from abroad, in Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in Florence (2011-2012) and in the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver (2015). She has also attended internships developing skills in anamorphic painting in London (2013) and Amsterdam (2015).

Alina Orav has done numerous solo and group exhibitions in Estonia and abroad, where she has also taken part in many international art events. In 2015 she curated an exhibition at the Concourse gallery in Canada involving 22 artists originating from 10 different countries.

Orav became a member of the Estonian Artists Association (EAA) in 2014.  She is currently developing a new direction in art, the four view painting, and is actively participating in the contemporary art world.
