Jūlija Šilova Emerging artist

Jūlija Šilova, born in 1996. After obtaining secondary education in Riga, stated studies in the Rezekne Secondary School of Art and Design, Art Education Program, where she obtained the qualification of an illustrator (2017). Since 2017, Jūlija continued studies at the Latvian Academy of Arts (LAA) Latgale Branch, in the Bachelor’s program of the Painting sub-branch of the Visual Arts Department, which graduated with the diploma thesis “Twelve” in 2021. In 2021 started studies at the master’s program of the Latvian Academy of Arts, in the painting sub-branch. Jūlija actively participates in group exhibitions, plein airs and supports various activities with her participation. The main objects that Jūlija works with are people and the environment. Jūlija is fascinated by the study and analysis of natural forms. Researching the surrounding environment, Jūlija tries to show through her vision objects by actualizing their individuality, creating it with technique, color, that summarizing her feelings and impressions.
