Tõnu Tunnel (born 1987) is a photographic artist who lives and works in Tallinn. Above all, he is interested in architecture, urbanism and issues related to urban lifestyles. He graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a bachelor’s degree in photography, after which he has been a freelance architecture and interior photographer. Tunnel has taken part in several group exhibitions since 2008, and in 2013 he won the ArtPrint young artist prize. Tunnel has recently been interested in the play of light and shadow with architectural elements – urban forms and shapes are distilled into more pure and abstract forms.
