The work is part of the exhibition “Cool Landscapes” which documents the life of mining towns in Longvalearbyen and Barentsburg in the Svalbard Archipelago. In recent years, the climate in the Arctic, especially in the Spitzbergen, has warmed twice as much as anywhere else on the planet. When the charcoal runs out and the beauty disappears the human retreats.
