Hygiene, 2018

Wood, metal, paint

To clean the body takes one day, this is knowing as detoxification. And this is a one day´s story of hygiene. Nature has its own form, a built-in ability to cleanse itself. When left to it´s own devices, nature will take over an area allowing  flowers to grow, allowing picking mushrooms, splint firewood, immersion in water.

A person manifests him-/herself in simple actions, rhythmic and unconstrained as a nature, like a single event with repetitions that overlap in line with previous experience. The ecosystem absorbs everything, like a bathroom absorbs sediments and waste in the drainage pipe.

What are our personal hygiene requirements while maintaining a balanced position?
The work is addressing our necessity of self-purification.
