I am, and only am, when not just lurking, but hunting, 2017

Oil and acrylic on canvas

The artist´s comment on the artwork:
"The idea of most of my recent works like this one were inspired by my bright past memories, that are updated with current perceptions. Therefore, the previous ones are perceived through the present prism of things we see, smell, feel. The shadow in this context becomes a metaphor of reminiscence that reflects the change, incompleteness and uncertainty. I analyse the issue of relation of reminiscence, perception and imagination and rises the question rhetorically: does imagination is capable to surrogate our perception? Does imagination hides the nature of reminiscence of reality, or reveals it?"
