Hanna-Liisa Lavonen ”Traageldades peidan tõde II” is open at Jakobi's gallery.

The aim of the exhibition is to visualize mental instability and its burden. Activity refers to the inner wear, which is revealed by covering, repairing and shaping the outer shell – we shape ourselves like a loaded sculpture. The artist explores how to visualize the uncomfortable burden that we carry on our shoulders and that has taken on a functional and deceptive role in our daily lives.

Hanna-Liisa Lavonen (1994) is an artist who lives and works in Tallinn. She graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a bachelor’s degree in painting and is currently studying for a master’s degree in contemporary art. Lavonen has taken part in ERASMUS + exchange studies in Slovakia, at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, majoring in media and space communication. The artist has also participated in and curated several group events in Estonia as well as in Finland, Slovakia and Berlin. Lavonen is currently exploring the traditional background of his family through the prism of magical realism. The exhibition is supported by the Estonian Cultural Endowment
