The permanent exhibition “Life or Karma? Stories of Narva ”. Nearly 200 works from the Baroque period to the present day and a lot of material from the museum's photo and textile collection are exhibited.

Narva Museum Art Gallery’s permanent exhibition “Life or Karma? Stories of Narva” aims to show our rich art collection as much as possible. The paraphrasing title of the chorus of a Narva pop song “Life or karma?” is a question that the curator of the exhibition has had in mind during the process of compiling it. How is it possible that there are so many diverse works in our collection of nearly 1,700 works? Is it a coincidence that things just “happen” in life? Or are the right choices and decisions made by Narva city officials and museum staff in difficult times?
