Bodypaint, bleached and dyied upcycled denim, four speakers, mic “Caregiver” is a 40min performance, consisting of a speaker installation, lights, choreography and musical and vocal arrangements. It’s an auto-fiction leading the narrative through a serpent-human hybrid character. In the piece the character is searching for ways to communicate a broad spectrum of emotions and complex personal stories using the language and cultural canons mostly heard and felt in popular music. Stripping down the usual Identities that are connected to the cultural phenomena of popular music. Refuting the aesthetics of capitalism and its capture of desire by consumption of goods, ideas, information, bodies.
