"Looped potato face", 2019

synthetic yarns, cloth Carpet “Kilpinis bulvės veidas” (EN “Looped potato face”) is one of the main part of my art installation “Feels like home”. In this project separated object don’t have their own descriptions, every peace tells the same “Home” story. This is how it sound: What is home? The place, memories, time, inhabitants, the peaceful feeling of being secure in the here and the now. Still, I could not say exactly, what’s the home I was thinking about and trying to re-create for so long. The exhibition is about trying to live through the first home in which I grew up, the time in other homes I lived in, and this home, which I am trying to create anew. I use the word “home“ to describe a frequent object which means both a real building – a place and a space, and an intangible feeling in which our souls live.
