Mountains as far as the eye can see..., 2020
4 sheets of glass with quotes engraved in them, 2 3D printed spherical slide-holders with landscape photographs inside The connecting element of “Mountains as far as the eye can see…” is light, which illuminates both parts of the work. The shadow of the text engraved on the glass represents the past as well as the mothers’ longing for their home. The slide-holders present the ambivalence of the children’s position. The children’s generation is emotionally linked to both landscapes: on one hand they embody their mothers’ homesickness, while themselves longing for their childhood home.
