Cast iron and patina
The sculpture is a cage like object that is empty inside. It seems old and broken and that way it has looses it’s function of capture. But because of it’s appearance as a forgotten object is has silent dignity and mystery enfolded around it. I see my sculpture objects as objects from inside the same imaginary world as my paintings. Like the spacial illusion in the paintings would break and the sculptures materialize in our shared reality.
