Man Yau lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. She graduated with a Master’s degree from Aalto University of Art and Design specialising in ceramics and glass art. Currently she is finalising her second Master’s in sculpture at the The Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts in Helsinki. Yau has been working in several countries and residencies in the past few years, such as Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park in Japan, Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in China and Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris. Yau’s works have been presented in solo and group shows in Finland and United States among others. Recently her works have been seen at Outo Olo in Helsinki and at Boy Konsthall in Sweden, as well as in online publications such as in O FLUXO and Tzvetnik. Yau has been nominated as “Young Talent of the Year” by Helsinki Design Awards, and her works can be found from Finnish State Art Deposit Collection.
